Dealul Mare is a renowned wine-growing region that was first documented in the 14th century – and the Ceptura and Urlati areas have been recognised for more than 600 years for the quality of the wines produced there. With an average 2,146 hours of sunlight per year, the Dealul Mare region is rich in heliothermal resources, which favours the ripening of the grapes. The region is famous for the grapes with pure Romanian genes, Fetească Albă and Fetească Neagră.
